SSC Stenographer Vacancy
Staff Selection Commission has released the notification of Stenographer recruitment. For this, 12th pass candidates can apply. Online applications have been invited from the candidates for this recruitment. Both men and women can apply for SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D recruitment. The application forms for this recruitment have started from 26th July and the last date has been kept as 17th August.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Application Fee
In this recruitment, the application fee for General, OBC and EWS categories has been kept at Rs 100, whereas for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, the application has been kept free. Candidates will have to pay the application fee through online medium.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Age Limit
For this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidates should be 18 years, whereas the maximum age limit for Group C has been kept at 30 years and for Group D the maximum age limit has been kept at 27 years. In this, the age will be calculated considering 1st August 2024 as the basis. Relaxation in upper age limit has been given as per government rules.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Educational Qualification
For this recruitment, the candidate must have passed 12th class from a recognized board.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Selection Process
Candidates for this recruitment will be selected on the basis of online written examination, stenography skill test, document verification and medical examination.
In CBT exam, 50 questions of General Intelligence and Reasoning, 50 questions of General Awareness, 100 questions of English Language and Comprehension will be asked. In this, each question will be of one mark and negative marking has been kept at 0.25 marks. For this paper, candidates will have 2 hours. Will get time.
After qualifying the written examination, candidates will be called for Stenography Skill Test. Candidates will be given a dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the rate of 100 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C post and 80 words per minute for Grade D. There should be speed of which detailed information can be seen in the official notification.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): The CBT is an objective type test with multiple-choice questions. It comprises sections on General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension.
- Skill Test: Candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for the skill test. In the skill test, candidates’ stenography skills are assessed.
- Document Verification: The final stage is document verification, where candidates need to present their original documents.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Application Process
Candidates will have to apply online for the post of SSC Stenographer. Those candidates who want to apply for the post of Stenographer have to first see the official notification and then click on the apply link.
- Visit the official SSC website.
- Register yourself by providing basic details.
- Login using the registration ID and password.
- Fill in the detailed application form.
- Upload the required documents, such as a photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fee.
- Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
Candidates will have to fill all the information asked in the application form correctly, after this they have to upload the necessary documents, passport size photo and signature, after this they have to pay the application fee as per their category. After filling all the information, submit the form finally and Take a printout of it and keep it safe.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Exam Pattern
The SSC Stenographer CBT consists of three sections:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 questions, 50 marks
- General Awareness: 50 questions, 50 marks
- English Language and Comprehension: 100 questions, 100 marks
The total duration of the exam is 2 hours. Each question carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC Stenographer Vacancy Syllabus
The detailed syllabus for the SSC Stenographer exam is as follows:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: Topics include analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, and arithmetical reasoning.
- General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around them and its application to society. Topics include current events, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, and scientific research.
- English Language and Comprehension: Topics include vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and comprehension.
