The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a new recruitment notification for officer positions. This is a golden opportunity for those seeking a career in banking. The RBI, India’s central bank, is inviting applications for various officer posts. The recruitment drive aims to fill numerous vacancies in different departments.
Reserve Bank of India has issued a new advertisement for recruitment to the posts of officers. Under this, recruitment will be done on 94 posts of Officer Grade B. Online applications have been invited from the candidates for this recruitment, for this both male and female candidates can apply. Online applications for this will start from 25th July and the last date of application has been kept as 16th August.
RBI Officer Vacancy Application Fee
In this recruitment, the application fee for general OBC and EWS category has been kept at Rs 850, whereas for SC, ST and PWD candidates, the application fee has been kept at Rs 100. Apart from this, 18% GST will have to be paid by the candidates of each category. Payment can be made through online mode.
RBI Officer Vacancy Age Limit
For this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate has been kept at 21 years and the maximum age has been kept at 30 years. In this, the age will be calculated considering July 1, 2024 as the basis. In this, reserved categories have been given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per the government rules.
RBI Officer Vacancy Educational Qualification

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the RBI officer posts, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. For DEPR and DSIM posts, specific educational qualifications in economics, statistics, or related fields are required.
- Age Limit: The age limit for general category candidates is between 21 and 30 years. There are age relaxations for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
RBI Officer Vacancy Selection Process
Candidates for this recruitment will be selected on the basis of preliminary written examination, main written examination, interview, document verification and medical examination.
- Preliminary Examination: This is the first stage of the selection process. It is an online objective test. The test covers subjects like English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
- Main Examination: Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be eligible to appear for the main examination. This test includes both objective and descriptive questions. The subjects include English, Economic and Social Issues, and Finance and Management.
- Interview: Candidates who clear the main examination will be called for an interview. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the main examination and the interview.
