Objective of PM Awas Yojana 2024
The main objective of the government to start this scheme is to provide permanent houses to all the poor families of the country, so that they can live their lives without any hassle. There are many poor families in the country who are unable to build permanent houses for their living, due to which they face many problems. Types of PM Awas Yojana 2024
The government has divided this scheme into two parts. Different amounts of assistance are given for building houses in rural and urban areas.
1. Pradhan Mantri Rural Housing Programme: In this scheme, a house of up to 25 square meters is built for the rural people, which also has a kitchen, and an assistance amount of Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand is given to them. An assistance of Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand is given to the hill villagers.
2. Pradhan Mantri Nagar Awas Programme: Under this scheme, people in urban areas are given an assistance amount of one lakh twenty five thousand rupees to build a permanent house, which is sent in different installments to their bank account through DBT.
